With a passion for visual arts and architecture, Cannon Doren Design strives to convey the story of a space and its inhabitants through thoughtful, productive and harmonious design. Applying a clean, fresh and modern aesthetic, Kim creates personal spaces that evoke contentment, ease and individuality. She believes in comfortable clean lines, peaceful simplicity, natural materials and sustainable and inclusive design solutions. With the balance of form and function, any space can have a productive and positive impact on one's life.
Kim was born and raised in Hawaii and the San Francisco Bay Area. She received her B.A. in English Literature from UCLA and her A.S. in Interior Design from Cañada College. Prior to finding her passion in interior design, Kim enjoyed building consumer brands for companies such as Jamba Juice, Pixar Animation Studios, Old Navy and Warner Bros. Marketing communications and interior design have a similar goal, and that is to tell a story - whether it be telling a brand’s story through media vehicles or telling the story of a space and its inhabitants through architecture, finishes and furnishings.
Kim is a Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
